KidsTek Serves with America's Promise Alliance in Aurora

KidsTek Program Director Andrew Bissland serves on the Effective Education team of the America's Promise Alliance for Aurora Youth.

December Study Session!

Students from Hinkley High and Aurora Central High schools met on Saturday to prepare for their fall final in their Cisco CCNA Discovery Networking class. KidsTek students earn dual enrollment credit from their high schools and the Community College of Aurora for passing the rigorous class.

New Teen Staff!

KidsTek welcomes Darius Orr to its growing staff! Darius will assist Courtney Wade in the classroom at Mrachek Middle School. Darius was KidsTek's Student of the Month in July of this year for his outstanding work in the Aurora Youth 4 Success program. At the end of the summer program, Darius was awarded a new laptop for his positive attitude, participation and leadership in the class. KidsTek is excited to have such a great team member on board! Qortex and Microsoft Support KidsTek!

On Thursday November 29th Qortex sponsored a happy hour at The Cool River Cafe.  Qortex, a Microsoft Gold Certified Partner headquartered in Greenwood Village, fundraised to benefit KidsTek and representatives from the Microsoft Store demo'ed Windows 8 and raffled prizes.

Aurora Laptop Winners!

At the end of each Aurora COMPASS after school program session, KidsTek awards a refurbished laptop to students from our Aurora middle school sites. Students earn the laptop through hard work, attendance and by completing projects assigned by instructors Courtney Wade, Jeff Bowling and Annie Abramson. Congrats to all our computer winners!
