Boys & Girls Clubs of Larimer County
For 2005-2006, KidsTek provided an instructor teaching computer classes four days per week in Loveland. The program curriculum initially focused on digital photography and graphic design. We began adding classes to the Fort Collins Club site in the summer of 2006 and as of February 2007, KidsTek added a second instructor to the program, allowing us to provide four classes per week at both the Loveland and Fort Collins Clubs. In the summer of 2007, KidsTek began to additionally serve the Wellington Extension Unit class site, and is thus now serving all Boys and Girls Clubs in Larimer County.
Boys and Girls Club participants continue to work on digital graphics while also learning about computer hardware and creating and mixing music on computers. Students at these sites have also learned about web page design and simple engineering.
